Replacement of Juki DDL-8700B-7 control board

The reason for the exchange was not cutting the thread after the machine warmed up (about 30 minutes of work), of course, when she stood with 10 minutes and cooled down, everything returned to normal.

There could be several reasons for this failure, but in this case I was replacing parts from another machine and this board was damaged.

This is nothing complicated and everyone should handle it.

For safety, disconnect the machine from the power source.

Unscrew the screws on the star (one on the front, two on the back of the machine)

We loosen the 2 screws on the Allen wheel and remove them

We unscrew the remaining 2 housing screws, they are allen and one is quite far away

We move the housing away and detach the cube from the panel

It remains to unscrew the old plate and unfasten 7 cubes, each is different so it’s hard to confuse them. In my case, one nest was free and be careful not to confuse the tiles because you will have to do it the second time 🙂

We connect the cubes, screw the plate, put the housing on.

Now we have to put on the wheel and although it will not affect the machine’s operation, we do it as it was at the factory.

On the shaft we have a flat which automatically sets the wheel and the effect after turning on the machine should look something like this.

In most cases, the foot will not rise after replacement so you must activate it.

In this machine with the tip “B” we activate it like this: on the off press and hold the enter button (confirm) and turn on the power

The information on the display will light up

We turn the machine off and after switching on, the foot will rise.

In machines without the ending “B” in the name we do the same only instead of enter hold 3 or 4 plus on the panel.
