How to undress and clean the bobbin case in your home sewing machine

The manual is written on the basis of the Łucznik 834 machine, but this type of bobbin case also exists in other household machines.

This is one of the basic things that we should do with the lubrication of the machine, so we start.

We open the latch

We pry it on the right side and pull out the stitch plate

We unscrew the bobbin case with the screw shown in the picture until we feel resistance

Now we can safely take out the bobbin and clean it

Unscrew the left screw, which is used to regulate the tension and the right fixing (you have to be careful they are very small and it’s easy to get lost, I know something about it)

Now, we can pry both gills and we can clean the entire drum and rub the plates with P2000 paper

After all, put a thicker blade first and then thin so that you can screw in the screws

We first screw in the right longer one and then the left one shorter than the adjustment

Now we have to adjust the tension of the thread, set it so that there is a slight resistance when pulling the thread, when we set too much resistance during sewing, the upper thread will be truncated from the bottom.

We fold the whole in reverse order and we can continue to sew 🙂
